Research project competition on noise and vibrations of electric machines

Research project competition on noise and vibrations of electric machines” was a competition organized by EOMYS ENGINEERING from 1st of October to 1st of December 2017. It aimed at encouraging applied research works in the field of electromagnetically-excited noise and vibration of electrical machines by offering research licenses of MANATEE electromagnetic and vibroacoustic simulation software.

The competition was open to any academic or industrial research team. Each team was invited to submit a short description of their scientific project to EOMYS website. A jury has selected the project led by Electromechanics Laboratory of Compiègne (LEC) laboratory, France, for its research program focusing on the vibroacoustic impact of harmonic control strategies applied to synchroreluctant machines. They plan in particular to study the correlation between torque ripple minimization and acoustic noise minimization using MANATEE import function of third party electromagnetic finite element software.
