Objectives

The objective of this validation article is to study the effect of skewing in MANATEE 3D electromagnetic subdomain models for comparison with full 3D finite element approach.

One can see that the harmonic effect of skewing obtained with MANATEE fast models (a few seconds of calculations) match very well with [R1] calculations carried in full 3D electromagnetic FEA:

Besides MANATEE subdomain modeling technique does not suffer from meshing error: no artificial remeshing ripple is introduced in the calculation of harmonic forces, resulting in more physical results in terms of vibrations and acoustic noise.
