The article compares MANATEE software dedicated to e-motor noise calculation in quasi static mode (FFT) or in transient mode (STFT).

Application to e-NVH

MANATEE software can be coupled to a Simulink control block in the time domain, which requires transient calculations of noise and vibrations. In early design phase, the quasi static approach is advised as it is faster.
