Description plot_B_animate_SDM2D plots the animation of the 2d flux density maps calculated with the subdomain method in the air gap, slots and iron part of the machine.
Parameters
  • Input: simulation input structure including all the electrical machine data and simulation parameters@type struct
  • Output: simulation output structure including electromagnetic and vibroacoustic characteristics@type struct
  • is_animate = 1 : the plot is successively made for all the time steps (if more than 1) computed previously (default: 0).
  • side = ’ ’ or ’S’ or ’R’ to plot flux density due to both mmf, only stator mmf or only rotor mmf (if is_separated_mmf = 1) (default: ’ ’)
  • k_z0 : slice index (default: Input.Plot.k_z0)
  • j_t0 : time index ; enables to enforce j_t0 if is_animate == 0 (default: Input.Plot.j_t0)
  • Bsat : Maximum level of flux density in the plot (default: Input.Simu.Bsat_max)
  • colormap0 : colormap of the flux density plot (default: plot_B_sdm_colormap or FEMM_map if FEMM computation is activated)
  • nb_cont : number of contours to be plotted for the flux lines (default: 20)
  • color_cont : color of contours (default: ’k’)
  • is_potential : (advanced) 1 to plot potential to check continuity between subdomains (default: 0).
  • is_loop : 1 to loop at the end of the time steps (default: 1).
  • is_save_gif : 1 to save the animation into a *.gif file (default : Input.Plot.is_save_gif)

This example shows the animation of flux density maps of a concentrated winding 12s10p PMSM, the machine of EOMYS vibroacoustic testbench which aims at highlighting slotting modulation effects and comparing the accuracy and computing of time different simulation methodologies (click to animate):
