Result

This unique MANATEE software post processing draws the spectrogram of magnetic radial force harmonics of all wavenumbers r using same color scale:

In this example one can quickly identify the strongest force harmonics of wavenumbers 2, 6 and 8. However the larger is the force wavenumber, the lower is the vibration due to increased stiffness of the electric machine yoke. The wavenumber 2 is therefore the most dangerous in terms of vibration and noise in this case. One can also notice that all odd wavenumbers are null because the simulation is in heathy case (no eccentricity) and all slot numbers are even.

Note that you can change some plot options of all default MANATEE post processings (e.g. axis limits, colormaps).

This graph can be used to confirm our understanding of the origin of electromagnetic noise and vibration in electric motors.
