Electrical (EL) and control (CT) modules

The electrical modules aim at calculating the voltage and current waveform of the machine, and the resulting electromagnetic performances (torque, efficiency) in steady state using semi-analytical techniques.

This is done with an extended equivalent circuit which includes saturation, iron loss and skin effects. The parameters of the equivalent circuits can be calculated analytically, numerically using FEMM, or enforced by the user.

The control modules aim at generating the voltage and current waveform to achieve a specified torque value or follow a specific strategy (for instance maximization of torque per amp).

The following submodules are available:

- Electrical model for squirrel cage induction machines (EL.SCIM)
- Electrical model for PM synchronous machines (EL.PMSM)
- Control module for squirrel cage induction machines (CT1.SCIM)
- Three-phase PWM voltage generation module (CT2.PWM)
