Objectives

This module of MANATEE software AC.NUM carries e-motor acoustic noise numerical simulation using a third party acoustic FEA solver.

Description

This module calculates the sound pressure field and resulting sound power level by exporting the velocity field calculated by SM.NUM1 or SM.NUM2 model in a third party FEA acoustic software (Actran). This simulation process accounts for both air-borne and structure-borne noise of the electrical machine.

Technical details

MANATEE can excite an Actran model with electromagnetic excitations and post process automatically the results. Calculations can be accelerated using Electromagnetic Noise Synthesis algorithm.
