What is PSH / RSH (Principal Slot Harmonic or Rotor Slot Harmonic)?

PSH stands for Principal Slotting Harmonic.

It represents a high magnitude current harmonic due to a voltage harmonic induced in the stator winding by the airgap flux density harmonics. It is also called RSH (Rotor Slotting Harmonic) because the harmonic flux creating this current harmonic is linked to stator/rotor slot interactions in induction machines.

MANATEE identifies the PSH/RSH because they can be the origin of large pulsating magnetic forces responsible for vibration and noise close to rotor slot passing frequency.
