This article validation the harmonic analysis method on a squirrel cage induction machine.

Results
One can observe that even when removing slotting effect (constant airgap permeance) a strong resonance still occurs. This is due to the fact that a radial force of wavenumber 2=Zs-Zr-2p is created both by slotting effects and by stepped magnetomotive force harmonics. The resonance is here cancelled where removing both slotting effects (constant magnetic airgap) and coil discretization effects (sinusoidal stator magnetomotive force).
