This unique post processing of MANATEE software allows to calculate noise spectrograms where the contribution of each magnetic force wavenumber is isolated (for more information on this principle applied to experimental tests see Souron, Q., Le Besnerais, J. and Hecquet, M., 2016. Analysis of electromagnetically-induced vibrations of electrical machines based on spatiogram technique. International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 51(s1), pp.S23-S32). This post processing has been named spatiogram because spatial information is added compared to conventional spectrograms.
In this example, the discontinuity at 2800 rpm is due to field weakening. These results show that the resonance at 1200 rpm (600 Hz) is clearly linked to wavenumber r=2, so with lamination mode (2,0), whereas the secondary resonance at 1500 rpm (2500 Hz) is due to magnetic force wavenumber r=4 with mode (4,0).
The noise lines of 0 dB can be blancked using:
Input.Plot.is_clear_graph = 1;
For further plot options (e.g. change axis) see How to change plot options.
This type of graph allows to quickly identify the main harmonic magnetic forces responsible for magnetic noise of electrical machines.
