Objectives
This module of MANATEE software specialized in electric motor NVH virtual prototyping allows to efficiently analyze the root cause of noise and vibrations based on harmonic analysis.
Summary
The module identifies all main magnetic force harmonics (frequencies and wavenumbers) based on slot/pole/phase combinations, electrical machine topology (PMSM, WRSM, SCIM, SRM), switching frequency and load state using theoretical analytic work (instantaneous calculations).
It also provides the physical origin of a given force harmonic in terms of permeance, magnetomotive force, flux waves combinations as well as in terms of excitation sources (rotor/stator mmf, PWM time harmonics, eccentricities, saturation, winding or magnetization space harmonics). It is applicable to pulsating tangential stress wave to identify which flux harmonics are responsible for average torque generation or torque ripple. The modules allows to draw in a fraction of second a Campbell diagram of magnetic excitations per physical origin with magnitude estimates.
