February 2018: technical trainings, PWM sound synthesis, 2d flux maps

EOMYS workshops and training agenda

Based on its experience of the analysis and reduction of noise and vibrations in electrical systems, EOMYS regularly proposes some technical workshops or specialized trainings on the topic. Next events include:

  • a one-day technical workshop on the vibroacoustic design of rotating electrical machines on 13th of April, Darmstadt, Germany - see registration page.
  • a two-day extensive training on electromagnetically-excited noise and vibrations in electrical systems on 29-30th of May, Paris, France - see registration page.

MANATEE ongoing developments

MANATEE (Magnetic Acoustic Noise Analysis Tool for Electrical Engineering) software logo

The following features are being developed in MANATEE simulation software specialized in the fast calculation, analysis and reduction of noise and vibrations due to magnetic forces in electrical machines:

MANATEE 2d flux maps

MANATEE includes the possibility to visualize flux density maps obtained with subdomain electromagnetic models, even inside the iron parts of the machine. This example shows the animation of flux density maps of a concentrated winding 12s10p PMSM, the machine of EOMYS vibroacoustic testbench which aims at highlighting slotting modulation effects and comparing the accuracy and computing of time different simulation methodologies (click to animate):

These flux maps used to calculate magnetic forces are obtained in a few seconds with 100 time steps.
